Vaxdesign awards
The Branch Museum of Design's annual awards ceremony had been in disarray until 2024, having been suspended during the pandemic and not fully reinstated in the years following. In response, we made the decision to revitalize the event in its entirety—an ambitious and challenging undertaking. Rebuilding interest in a dormant ceremony, including securing valuable applicants, sponsors, and attendees, was a substantial effort.

Through targeted advertising, strategic communications, community outreach, and consistent brand management, I successfully exceeded our applicant goal by doubling the anticipated number. As a result, we were able to honor and award individuals who have significantly contributed to making Virginia a better place. My promotional efforts included multiple print and digital ads, radio and television interviews, traditional press coverage, influencer promotions, and a comprehensive social media and email campaign. All promotional efforts were organic and unpaid.

In addition to these efforts, I created all event visuals, including designing the program, visual presentations, signage, and other related materials.

Thanks to my contributions, the VAxDesign Awards Ceremony has become a respected and highly anticipated event, poised to continue celebrating and supporting Virginia's designers for years to come.
